I created a simple revolve using a wall for the inital work plane. I cannot for the life of me find how to unconstrain it from that wall after it is created. I would like to be able to place it anywhere, not just on a plane. I created it under the lighting category.

I searched for this but got internal server error when searching these forums so if somebody can ether give a solution or point me to one that would be great!

If anyone wants to know, I figured it out. if an element is ever constrained to a work plane just copy paste it and it may lose its constraints :-)

You will find that using a family created in place at multiple locations is a bad process.  Model in place is meant to be used at one-of-a-kind uses.  If you need multiples, then you should create a family.
