My co-workers and I are working on an existing building and we are renovating it.  We have everything in the existing construction phase.  We cut a shaft opening in new phase but when we put the view in a phase filter, it still shows the floor as being cut.  I created a new phase filter called "Show Existing" where only the existing and demolished are shown, but the floor is still shown as being cut.

How do we show that the floor is not being cut when we change the phase of the view?  I'm working in Revit Architecture 2013.

The best way to do this is with two floors.  One with the hole and one that is just the hole.  Both are in existing phase and demo the hole in the new phase.

We figured that would happen :-(.  Hopefully Autodesk fixes that bug soon!

Thanks!

You can always make a family that is floor based that is simply a void.  Families respond to phase.

quinn, you are probably correct but you don't need a floor based family.   We have a face based family that cuts its host and works on any face.  It is adjustable w x h x d.
