Hi,

I'm using revit architectural 2012, and I'm experiancing an annoying problem, where if I'm viewing floor plan under another building pad, the earth hatch disappear under that pad. although the floor plan cutting plain is cutting into the earth under this pad

Another problem is when ever this situation happenes, the earth thick cut line showing in plan gets sent behind the earth hatch and I only see half the thickness of that cut line. this only happens when I have this hatch void created in plan view under the building pad.

see attched images

Revit file here

thanks a lot in advance.

Try turning off the Pad category.

That thick line looks like the Primary Contour line not a cut line.

Thanks for your reply,

I tried to turn it off but nothing happens,

The thick line in the second image is a cut line, it is thicker than the primary contour line, but this is not the problem, the problem is in the first image where the cut line doesn’t show up any more. if you look at the revit file and zoom on the cut line you can see that the hatch is on top of the line and you can only see half the thickness of the cut line.

I had a similar problem. For future refernce if anyone stumbles apon this thread. I found it was to do with the phase which I created the pad in. experiment how it effects your model, I ended up deleting it and remaking it in the correct phase.
