So I have two problems.

I would like to remove the segments as highlighted in the screen shot. the ones at same ht as door. then also I would like to move the base of the store front down 1" to actually touch the floor. But when I try to do that, it adds a level of mullions horizontally across the top just above the door...

So I have used the help file, and cant seem to find the add remove segment...I just can't find it, if thats even what I need. please help me out. thanks

Warc.

First, for the bottom mullion, select the whole storefront wall, check the Base Constraint & Base Offset, which might fix the 1" gap.

Second, click "Edit Type", change the Horizontal Grid Pattern to the door height for example 7'-0",the actual door height will be 7'-0' minus half of the size of thehorizontal mullion, which setup that grid.

Third, to remove the horizontal mullion at door head, un-pin those mullions, then you can delete the one you don't want, you will see a line there, pick that line, a "Add/Remove Segment" panel will be shown. Click that panel first then click that line. That will remove those horizontal mullions.

Thanks a lot.

it is the picking of the specific dotted mullion grid line that was the trick. you dont get the 'add/remove" thing if you just pick the wall iteself... Didnt realize you needed to do that before you get the add remove segment. and in the end you actually dont even need to unlock the horiz mullions then. just select the grid line first...

Also, I figured about the bottom constraint. it was because I got a concrete slab, and a lot of 1" tile and finish toppings on it that messed me up, but since I was able to get the add remove thing going, once I changed the base of the wall from 1" to 0" (ie. top of slab) then I was able to remove the segments again for that added horizontal. strange it adds a horiz mullion there though, since I was only increasing the bottom edge by 1".

thanks again for the advice.
