how would i go about putting endcaps and drain spouts on to my gutters?

Yes, as WW indicates we should always research the existing threads here first. Quite often the answer is there. Use the search pull down from the top of this page. 

 

Out of the box there is no components for gutter end caps and down spouts (last time I looked anyway.)

 

Is a nut shell the end cap can be an in-place or external external family that is a generic model face based. Probably use the gutter profile for the perimeter and an extruded thickness of 3/16"" (5mm) etc. 

 

The down spout could be a n in-place family 'sweep'. Don't worry about making the downspout hollow. Just make a solid sweep. Getting the correct workplane will come into play when creating the sweep path.

 

An external family of a down spout is also possible but I use in-place families becasue the conditions usually need to work with the local geometry.
