I'm having some trouble trying to create a stair in RAC 2013 that has winders at the top (or bottom) of the stair - quite a common situation in older properties and conversions.

Using the L shaped winder component seems to require the winders to be somewhere in the middle of the stair.

Using sketch mode had me baffled. I just could not work out a combination of boundary lines and step lines that would give me the right result.

The JPEG shows what I am after ....

Sorted after a fashion.

Used sketch mode. Had to break the boundary line at the last of the parallel risers before the corner.

Deleted handrail too - was hideous car crash as it turned the corner!

i have 2012 , but can you use stair by bdry and then riser.

break stringers at winder treads (both stringers)

here we can only have 3 winders at a quarter landing not 4 .

cheers

The width of the tread at the mid point is the controlling factor for the number of winders here. the wider the stair, the more winders that would be possible.

However, in this case the building is existing and 100 years old, so Building Regs would nit be a factor Smile
