I will start out by saying that I am making the transition from Arris to Revit and while some things have been easy to learn there are others that are not quite so easy.

I am working on creating a family for office cubicles and have a couple of questions and wondering if certain things are even possible with Revit.

- I am creating the family using the "Furniture Systems" template. Is this correct template to use?

- I am wanting to add a label that will display the cubicle wall size for each individual wall used. I have attached a sample that shows what I am looking for.  Also wondering if I can make it so that these labels can be turned on or off. Reason for this is that I want the labels visible when editing and looking at the "Level" but not when viewing in 3D.

Download the Families Guide from the AutoDesk sit.  It gives you a good working knowledge of how to build families including proper templates - tags - parameters ...etc.
