Hi all,

I have been working with revit sice 2007. I'm using revit 2013 and I'm trying to do a curver curtain wall but when I draw the wall  even if a pick curved style revit draw the wall straight.

But whe a draw a exterior or inerior wall cmu or partition it does it curved, but when I change any to curtain wall this change to straight.

Thanks,

AB

I can't ever recall seeing a truely "Curved" curtain wall.  That's because glass is best done flat - unless you have oil money in the project.

Add enough CW grid's to approximate a curve.  The spacing should probably not be less than 2-3 feet.

Revit already should been doing that anyway!

Not true Carru.  We often use a curtain wall type that has no pre-set mullion spacings.  That type would come in as a straight CW from curve endpoint to endpoint.

A good start might to take a Generic 6" Wall>Edit Type>Edit Structure>Change Material to Glass>Change Thickness to 1">OK Ok ok. Now you have a glass wall type that you can curve to your heart's content. Attached is a picture of the Sick Kids Foundation under construction here in Toronto showing some nice use of curved glass.
