Hi,

New at working with Revit, I'm a student currently on placement at a building services consultancy and they've asked me to try and complete a revit project start to finish. Model the building and then go on to insert our building services designs. I've started to draw up the model from the architects floor plans and when I'm in 3D view everything seems to be fine, my floors, external walls, internal paritions are all where they should be, but once I go into my elevations some of the external walls are not visible even though they are drawn and show up fine in the 3D view window. Is it a problem with how the elavation view is set up... Would really appreciate it if someone could give me any advice on how to fix this issue.

Best Regards, Jordan

O've attached a few quick screen shots to try and explain what I mean. As youll see in the 3D navigaton my external walls are drawn, but in the elevation view the external walls are not visible.

Make sure your elevation is in the correct place in plan and that it's view depth as well as height is set correctly.

I do have the elevation in the correct place... is it anything to do with the far clipping? Because I cant seem to extend my far clipping line... In some elevation views, internal partitions appear rather than the exterior walls.... is there some sort of draw order option in revit? Appreciate your help...

If your interior walls appear and not the exterior (and assuming your not playing around with phases or design options) the more than likely your view cut plane is not where you think it is.

The fact that there is no adjstment on your clipping plane is because you don't have one.  In the view properties, turn that on to clip with or clip without line.
