Our color d-size plotter (HP750C), our color lase letter size printer (Epson AL-CX11), and our B&W letter/ledger, duplexing, stapling, general office printer all three are close to needing to be replaced. We send out our finished project plans and spec printing and any large size color rendering or photo printing and get reimbursed for that cost. We just need in house quick printing for check plots, early preliminary color plots, marketing brochures customized for particular projects, and general business printing.
Is there one machine or a combination of two that has worked for you guys in a similar role that might fit our 3-Architect and 1-Business Manager office?
Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

...it is a Sept 2012 release small office printer. It has an up to 24" wide paper try AND a 24" roll feed. We can load the paper tray with letter, ledger, or 12x18 "half size" paper and print in color. It won't be as fast as our laser was but, at 2400 dpi, we think the color print quality will go up. We can get pre-cut sheets of photo paper and do renderings without having to change out the roll. We got a $1,709 quote from EME Corporation plus shipping and no tax. That includes the stand. If we had a large volume printing need, I would be worried. But for our 10-20 plots per day average, this should work.

This may not be of any help. But if it is not an HP product then i don't buy it. I have never had a HP Printer/Plotter (actually no one really buys plotters anymore) fell/brake in the history of using their products. I have always just replaced them just to get newer technology.

Our HP750C still works but it is just as slow as Christmas getting prints/plots out. Since it has been used by us for over ten years with hardly any work done on it, I, too, have faith that HP is a good brand.

we run a HPT620 a1 size printer
fast , excellent print quality.
dickie roll loading arrangement.
u need to get behind the thing or reach over the top to the back.
ours is 3 to 4yr old. takes 6 cartridges (not cheap at $80-90.00 ea)
i believe newer versions have paper roll setup easier to access from the front and load.
its worth a look and demo.
for a3 and smaller we use a canon IX5000 inkjet again great quality and fast prints (4 independent colour cartridges $23.00ea).
cheers
