Hi all,

New to the forum, but not Revit.  I recently upgraded to 2013, and have found an issue that is driving me batty.  Say I draw a curtainwall, and I wish to move it by Aligning one Edge with something.  I select whatever reference edge, then try to click on my curtainwall to move it, but I cannot select the Edge!  Tab-clicking does not work, as it used to.  I can only select the centerline of the curtainwall.  Anybody experienced this, have a solution?  Thanks.

That is correct.  Align will only work with the CW location line.  You can contol the CW by using a mullion. 

Revit defaults to the center of mullions as their CW location.  I believe in most cases, your mullions and panels should be set up on the exterior face.  That is a better control point.  If you don't choose to do that, you hav no choice but to use move instead of align.

Is this a change from 2012?  It's been a few months since I used 2012, but I don't seem to remember this being a problem.  Why would AutoDesk decrease their functionality?
