Revit 2012.

I cannont manage to get my sweep profile to remain vertical- it rotates with the angle of the picked 3D path (see attached). I have tried skething the profile, and creatign a profile family (both with and without the "rotates with component" box checked).

Any thoughts?

I would just have done this as a wall.

Using walls would be much more labor intensive, and if I decided to change the profile of the spandrel, like say to put a reveal in it, I'd have to model the reveal out of sweeps anyway (wall sweeps are either vertical or horizontal), which would give me the same problem:

Sweep profile will not remain vertical.

Is this a floor edge sweep instead of a model in place sweep?

I have tried it both ways. The floor edge sweep won't work with the slope, only on level edges. The in place sweep tilts over.

Using ramps and a profile family for the railing works well...
