I haven't really head of anything being used with a touch screen but I did a google search and came up with this site.  I have heard of it working with tablets.

Absolutely it works!  I'm using it on my Acer T231H right now.  Its a bit of a novelty though since you really don't rely on it to work on an actual project or family with your finger.  You can't spin in 3D view or anything, but you can click any button.

Also keep in mind that the Windows 7 (and possibly 8 ) "Tablet PC input" service causes Revit to crash when you open the material editor.  You can disable it easily in msconfig.exe though under the services tab.

Windows 8 is questionable as far as working with Revit.  It basically doesn't load 100% in W8 "preview" so far I've tested.  My advice is to buy a W7 computer and then just get the 8 upgrade for $40 once it's confirmed by Autodesk that it works.
