I can do it with seperate roof models but I get a line at the intersection. Is there no way to do this with the roof modeler?

In sketch mode, select the roof edge you want to dutch hip, go to properties and use the "Offset From Roof Base" Parameter. Post edited on 2006-01-16 18:54:55

I designed my studio-workshop-garage a few years ago with a dutch hip. This one uses three Revit roofs. I'm attaching a zip file that has 2D DWF views of the elevations and plans. there is also one 3D DWF so you can look at the roof in 3D...you will need the free DWF installed on your system to view I use Reference planes in the plans and elevations to help layout the roof sketches. In this example I create a hip roof on level one for tracing purposes. The final roof is on level 2. Once one end of the roof is completed, I will mirror to the other end of the building. It took me about 8-10 minutes to complete this from scratch. Consider using the ALIGN command to make sure all of your surfaces blend to gether as you connectthe 3 roofs. Cheers!
