On one of my floor plans, All room fills are showing over the bounding walls and are filling to the centerline of the wall - even though the area settings are set to bound by wall finish.

There is a difference between Room and Area settings and plans. Which one are you refering to? Tom

Turned on color fills and set them to fill per department variable set for each room tag. Showed fine but then something changed and now all are showing over walls that are supposedly bounding the rooms - area fills seem to be defaulting to centerline of the wall although the area settings are still set to finished face of wall.

I am still confused. If you have an Area Plan that will not respond to room boundries as an Area Plan. Room bounderies are only available in plan views (not area plans). Can you post the file? Reduce it down by purging unused or start new file without template and cut and paste from your project into new file with no template. Tom

I will export the file as soon as I can get to it (doing a bunch of other stuff to meet a deadline on another project) Thanks BTW - it is a basic floor plan with room areas that I am trying to export. I really hoped that since Adesk bought Revit, the export/import stuff would work better - Import does seem better but export is pretty disappointing.
