I'm trying to make a custom family that is basically an amalgamation of tubes stacked horizontally to make an interior partition (where there is some visibility when looking straight on at the partition).  I'd like to make parameters such that when placed in the model, if I increase the length of the partition, the tubes will automatically fill in that length.  Likewise if shortened, columns of tubes will be removed to fit the parameter.

Any suggestions?  Is there an equation/parameter that will achieve this type of adjustability?  Or do I have to just suck it up and manually add or remove tubes from the family whenever we decide to adjust the dimensions?

Thanks!

How about a sketch or something . Not getting the picture. . . .

Sounds kind of like you are describing a log wall with gaps between the logs ?

Look into arrays and formulas. The Revit help file should give you all the info you need to get started.
