Hey all,

I'm stuffing around with a Uni assignment and I have kind of hit a snag.

I have a sphere that is hollow inside. It will be a study learning pod/hub.

anyway we would like to puncture the sphere shell segments with varying sized holes.

How do I go about doing this? How do I pick the surface and start putting voids through it?

Any help appreciated. or any how to's on a similiar problem? Maybe a how to on making a golf ball in revit with all its dimples lol?

thanks.

Model in place is your answer using a solid for the sphere and voids set to cut the solid.

as for your golf ball dimples... refer to this site:

http://clubrevit.com/2010/06/07/creating-complex-family-shapes-in-revit-introduction/

scroll down until you see where he makes a void off to the side that just touches the solid and then does a polar array around the shape. Maybe that'd be the right direction.
