I am working on colour schemes at the moment and need to add more categories to the Identity Data (as names in properties) and colour (as named in the colour scheme dialog box).

For example we have 3 different scope drawings for floor finishes, which are

1.    Slab treatment

2.    Raised floor

3.    Floor finishes

Could you please advise on how to do this.

Thank you

This is how I make that:

To add a parameter and show under Identity Data:

1. Tab Manage > Settings > Project Parameters

2. Project Parameters dialog box will appear, click Add

3. In Parameter Data, Fill in the Parameter Name you want to see show up under Identity Data (in this case Slab Treatment, Raise Floor or Floor Finishes)

4. Change Type Parameter to Text

5. Change Group Parameter to Identity Data

6. Make sure Instance is selected

7. In Categories box, Tick box for Rooms, and then click OK

8. Add another Project Parameters if you want to have any other parameter..

To manage Color Scheme:

1. Tab Home > Click Room & Area (the one with small drop down arrow beside it) > Color Schemes

2. Color Scheme dialog box will appear, make sure under Schemes Category, Rooms is selected, if not you can choose from the drop down list.

3. Click the duplicate button under the Scheme list box, after the new Scheme duplicated, click rename button to rename it. (in this case Slab Treatment, Raise Floor or Floor Finishes)

4. in Scheme Definition, change Title name (this will be the title shown for the color scheme list in the view)

5. Under Color, choose the parameter you just created before.

6. Create all Schemes you needed, change the Title as you needed and choose the color to the parameter you want it. After finish, click OK

Apply to the Room

1. Make Rooms for your building.

2. Add color fill legend by going to tab Home > Room & Area > Legend

3. when you click in the view, you'll be asked for space type (choose Rooms) and color scheme (choose one from the drop down list - in this list you will see all the scheme you created previously)

4. Select the room then in the instance parameter under identity data, fill in the parameter, the color legend will automatically added

5. duplicate detailing the view you create color fill legend, and then click the legend, then click edit scheme at the ribbon.

6. you'll be brought to the color schemes dialog box, choose other schemes you want to show, click OK.

7. Fill in the parameter match with the scheme.

I think that have cover all of what I've done..
