I am currently working on a project, and I am building all my details in CAD then blocking them over to Revit. I am having problems with some of the materials converting over. I was told that if Revit didn't have a materials CAD did, then it wouldn't show up. I am wondering if there is a way to load those materials into Revit.

Learn to do your details in Revit - they are so much easier then CAD.

There are no materials in 2D details so ????

You can't block something from CAD to Revit...?

Usually your cad details come in and their a single cad insert not exploded.  If you make region patterns using the same pat file as the hatch you used in cad sometimes revit will understand it and load the pattern when you insert or link your cad file.  Sometimes being the key word not always.

Materials? did you mean the hatch pattern? in my experience until now, Revit can load any pattern that used in a DWG file even Revit standard pat file do not have them..

If you want to use that pattern in Revit, you can load the pat file to Revit..

And WWHub is right, you better start learn make details in Revit..
