Hello there,

Can someone please help me understand why a manufacturer benefits to spending $5k-20K/year at a minimum to post families to Seek?  Also, why is there a $250 fee associated to non-Content Service Providers?  How does one become a CSP?

Besides RevitCity, what other sites are available for free product catalog uploads for manufacturers.  All our products are built to Autodesk Revit Content Creation Standards as well.

Thanks,

LJ

We have no affiliation with AutoDESK so we can not answer questions related to them.  AutoDESK is the only place where there has been an attempt to apply rules to family content so I personnaly use them.

As far as I know, the majority of families available are on Seek, RC and individual manufacturer sites.

Leave it to AutoDesk to try and figure out a way to monetize something.

SEEK is not the only place that applies modeling standards.  SmartBIM also develops their content to the same Revit Modeling Content Style Guide, but does not have anywhere near the same costs associated to distribution as SEEK.

You may want to contact the OpenAsset people.

New up and comer on BIM content management. Better than SmartBIM from what I understand.
