Concrete columns and 1/4"/ft sloping concrete roof:
Unless I'm missing something, the only to "attach" the columns to the root is to adjust its offset above the Roof Level so that the top of the column penetrates the roof slab and then to join geometry.
This gets tedious because the roof slopes so you can't grab all the columns and adjust at once.
Why isn't there an Attach parameter like there is with walls?

I was wondering the same thing... 
you can't attach columns to a roof or floor, but if you think about it, I have never seen the top of a column being slopped to attach to bottom of roof...
you will, like you said, have to adjust each column.
