Our company is transistioning to Revit and would like to bring in a few things that we do in our CAD drawings. I have beein trying to get this to work but cant quite get it to work.  

We would like our joist lines to show as having a small dish in the center of the span (like the one circled).  Is this possible?

The line used here is set in your project, object styles.  I doubt that you can create a linestyle to do this.  But there may be another option. 

Edit the joist family an break that symbollic line in the middle of the family to create this.  You should add four reference planes that are dimensioned to control the ends of the 3 lines you will end up with.

We have found a little bit of work around by creating a line type.  However, you have to have multiple, similar line types to get it to work properly in different spans. By adjusting the length of the first dash you can allow for longer spans. 

Hope this helps someone with a similar problem.
