Good Evening!
I am pretty new to revit. I am using revit 2013 learning how to divide surfaces of a mass and apply panels to the surface. I made a new family of pattern based curtain panel and load it into the project. However, the panels stay in the mass and would be turned off when mass is turned off. Also, all the panels stay together and can not be changed / edited individually. I tried loading the panels from the library, and encounter the same problem. Please help and advise.

Hello, that does not seem to answer my question which is probably more basic. I followed different online tutorials and yet each time the panels stay withing the mass. Could this be done at all?
