When i want to delete parameter values sometimes it happens that in a hurry i erroneusly click on the delete type button. unfortunately there is no "confirm" box on that one, and the type is just gone. the only thing i can do is to close the window without applying the changes and redo from scratch...

would love to have a confirmation window for that.

I think this wish item is somewhat debateable. If you actually click the worng button then you click the worng button. Adding 'Confirmations' for these types of conditions could easily mushroom.

Maybe just an 'undo' button within the dialog box. How about an 'undo' button in all dialog boxes ! Can't be rocket  science.

also a undo button would be ok.. problem is that sometimes you click wrong and apparently nothing happens.. so you click a few more times till you realize that youre clicking wrong. or even worse you dont notice what happened and keep working. unless youre deleting types every few minutes it shouldnt be too bad on youre nerves.. Smile just a little window "are you sure you want to delete this type? Yes/No".. like when you delete variables. specially for unexperienced users like me who might click wrong, and dont know the program enough to understand early enough what went wrong and what happened.

to me it happened a few times when i wanted to create yes/no parameters. i created a few and then i noticed that on some i forgot to set the parameter type to yes no, and when i tried to delete the variables in order to recreate them correctly, i deleted the type.. sometimes noticing it, sometimes not... in both cases pretty annoying..

You do know that the undo button has a pull down which shows you what you will be undoing?  There is no excuse in undoing more than you want.

you cant use the undo button as long as the parameter window is open... and you dont need to use the undo button, just dont hit the apply button! but you have to re-do what you did since the last time you pressed "apply". and in some cases that might be a lot..

to understand exactly what i mean:

make a cube,

go to the parameters and make2 types.

now make 5 parameters.

now you realise that the fifth parameter is not what you wanted and want to delete it but youre just da*n tired after a day of work and erroneously press the delete type button.

since the very first moment you entered this window you never pressed the apply button. so now oyure faced with 2 options:

a) you close the window without hitting apply, and start over

b) you hit apply and re-enter the type you deleted with all its parameters.

both cases are a loss of work.

in this example its just a few parameters and nothing more. but it happened to me to loose 3 types before i realized what happened and had to take all the measurements again from the drawing. result: 30 mins in the bin.  usually in every program where there is the chance to delete something (specially if you ahve no back button like in this case) youre confronted with the query window where it asks you if youre sure or not...

but it seems that i am the only one having problems with this setting.. :D
