Anybody knows what's wrong with this model when i turn Switch slot3 under y/n parameters, it doesnt work.

I want the W-benchtop exactly 3605 for that if you check in the formula.

it does not work because in your formula sqitch slot4 has priority!

your query is the same as this:

if switchslot 4 = true then

4805mm

ELSE <<<<<<

if switch slot 3 ........

endif

you must decide wich one has the priority!

try to explain exactly what you want..

you PROBABLY want it like this:

w-bencthop formula:

if(Switch slot2, 2405 mm, if(Switch slot3, 3605 mm, if(Switch slot4, 4805 mm, 1205 mm)))

if its not what you want plese try to explain and i will try to help you out if i can.. Smile

i would make it like the attached file.

look at the "Nr. of slots" variable. ATTENTION: i messed up the file a little bit in the hurry, do not use this file! use it just as example and work on your original file!

Hi frifer, thanks alot for the help....

I tried it but some of the boxes are visible when no. of slots is between 1 to 3. it works fine with 4 no. of slots.

i think its great idea to have no. of slots and i want them between 1 to 4.

if no. of slot =1 --> 2,3 and 4 should be off.

    2 --> 3 and 4 should be off.

    3 --> 4 should be off.

    4 --> nothing should be off.

(each slot includes a rangehood cabinet and oven box)

And these are the length of benchtop:

if no. of slot= 1 --> w-benchtop 1205mm

    2 --> w-benchtop 2405mm

    3 --> w-benchtop 3605mm

    4 --> w-benchtop 4805mm

Check the file attached and please point out my mistake...

Thanks again,

Kind Regards

Vidhi

hi!

i see only one formula in your file! where is the part that disables slots 2/3/4?

since i do not totally understand how you modelled yours (sorry i am a very beginner, started 2 weeks ago with revit) i modelled a very simple example of how i would do it. there are a lot of quotes missing, i made it up very quickly. when you change the number of slots some of them become gray (invisible when loaded in the project) and the topbench length adapts to the total length.

the formulas should be usable for you..

hope it helps you. in your file there are some problems with alignments, maybe some are wrong?

check them out!

regards

igor
