I am trying to set up a new set of cad standards for the office I am working in. When I assign a component to a subcategory of a family I cannot get it to display properly when I export to AutoCAD. I have gone into the export setup and changed the name of the subcategory, but when exported as a .dwg it still reverts back to the parent name. For example I have a subcategory for a chair in the furniture family. I want the chair to be on the layer I-FURN-SEAT and changed the name accordingly, but when I export it the name displays as I-FURN, which is the name for the furniture family. I'm know there is a way to differentiate between the different subcategories of a family but I think I am missing something. Let me know if anyone can help.
Thanks
Cody
