I made a custom section tag that only shows the detail number, which i use whenever i want to make a detail and place it on the same sheet the detail is called out from..works great except for one unexpected thing - should i need to refer to that detail, but from another sheet, revit overrides whatever section tag i choose at the time and uses my custom tag - not good since the custom tag has no sheet number on it.
Whats the deal here? shouldnt i be able to reference another detail and choose any section tag in the file?is it happening because ive modified the tag and did away with the sheet number? If i try to change the tag, revit changes all the tags associated with that detail. other than faking the tag, can anyone suggest a workaround? i really dont want to give up that nice, small, detail number only tag!
woops - using revit architecture 2012.
