I need to make 2d furniture and i want to place it in section.

I open new family and choose metric furniture. Then set the work plane to be Front and drew it in that elevation.

When i tried to load it into my project's section in said "This type of component cannot be placed in Elevation or Section view".

Please help.

Why not just draw it right in your section instead of trying to make it a family.

Well I though it can be done as family. If it can't i'll just draw it in the project.

Thanks for the solution.

You actually created a floor based component.  You should have done something in the plan view in the family so that you could place it in a plan view.  Then the elevation that is parallel with your element will show it. (If it is symbollic 2D linework that you placed in the family elevation.)

Well I am drawing it in front view, as you can see, and it's not working.

I would probably have put this 3D in my model.
