I created a custom panel schedule in a project to model what we've been previously doing in Excel, but I am unsure of how to use that same template in other projects. Is there a way to save for future use?

You can do a transfer project standards if you have the model with the panel schedule that you customized open with the same instance of revit as the new one you want to transfer it to. I'm not sure of a way to save it out, but if you open both models, in the new one go do a transfer project standards, select the "copy from" at top to the model with the edited panel schedule, check all the categories you want to transfer over.
