Afternoon all.

We are using Revit 2012 and attempting to set up some families for a company.  What I want to do is basically have separate components of a Man hole that will connect to either concrete pipework component families or a concrete ring to complete the manhole above. Basically I want to create 'lego' type families which will just snap to a connector rather then a face or workplane. 

Is there any other way of doing this then using a systems connector as these attempt to create pipework or ductwork in my project even if I put in a fittings or global connector type.

The end product I would like is to basically insert a component that will have 2 points that will easily snap to each other on each family.

I have been using generic family templates.
