Hello everyone,

Currenlty I am using Revit MEP 2012. The project I am working on already has a schedule, let's call it 'Lighting Schedule'.

I was told to make changes to the schedule while still preserving the old one. So, I expand the schedules list, right click

on the 'Lighting Schedule' and Duplicate the view. It creates a 'Copy of Lighting Schedule' in the schdules list. My problem

is that when I make changes to either schedule (original or the copy), the change happens on both. I only want the changes

to occur on the copy and leave the original schedule unchanged. How do I do this?

Whoever to you to do this, doesn't understand Revit. Revit schedules are not DUMB CAD schedules.  They schedule "live" model elements so when you change the properties of a model element, it changes them everywhere. 

You can make a new schedule with different elements, filter, sorting and layout but the data is the same if used in both schedules.
