I've imported .sat files from rhino and have not found a way to have them both a) section cuttable and b) material renderable

when I import the sat as a family (casework) I can see it in section, but cannot apply material to it

when I import it simply as an object I can apply material to it through imported objects tab in manage.

I would like to have my cake and eat it too.

Help.

" a) section cuttable" ---> It all depends if the family is Cuttable or not-cuttable.

"b) material renderable" ---> In Rhino apply some colors/material to that obj. then in Revit you can select them and change like you want.

Look at the bottom of this page: "Similar threads".

Right, I can easily do those things individually, but the problem arises when I need both. When I import the .sats to a cuttable family (ex: casework) it won't let me add a material parameter to it. When I import the sats directly to my project, I can give them a material but can't section them...

I don't have Rhino or any rhino file with materials to check... post one with one or two material(s)...
