I'm am trying to explode a block in a temporary file to create a detail element. I followed WB's instructions in a previous post but when I explode the file in Revit it just disappears.

Do you get any warnings when it disappears? Personally I don't like to explode DWG's because there are to many things that can go wrong like getting unwanted layers in Revit so I typically just Import CAD then use the import as a background and redraw the detail in the Revit lines I want.

No warnings. It's a temporary file and I want to use the cad lines for a detail and copy paste into a clean file. ??

I did this just a few minutes ago.
You said a block. A cad block might behave differently? I am not sure. Best would be to explode that in ACAD first so that revit has simple cad lines to explode, itself. I know what you mean about vanishing after explosion, but I've strictly run into that with 3D imports.
