Is there a way for the different material layers in an in place roof by footprint to show up in medium and/or fine detail levels (similar to what happens to walls)?  Is there a settting I need to adjust b/c I can't get the substrates to show up.

If you cut a section through your roof and hit the same detail level button that you do for the walls it should do the job

The issue is "How did you created your In-Place roof"? Only with one "layer" or with several "layers"?

I modeled it with several layers. @ agosztyla thank you! I realized I was seeing it in elevation not section, so of course the layers wouldn't show up! Doh! >.<
