Hello -

Having a technical issue with filled regions that probably has a simple answer but I'm totally lost and frustrated.

I'm using Revit Architecture 2012.

I'm beginning to draft my details for my roof plans. I've opted to build my generic roof details as Detail Component families (good idea or bad...?) and then bring them into the project in Drafting Views and modify them as they need to fit the project, while also creating a cache of good details for future projects.

The problem I'm having is that none of my Filled Regions are coming into the project correctly - they come in looking completely different than they do in my Family, and I've set them up to be very specific. How do I fix this?! I spent so many hours making all my details and their various fill regions accurate!

Thank you for any help you can offer!

BAD idea.  No need to do as a family.  Simply do them as a drafting detail.  Then place all of your "standard" details in one project where they can be easily loaded from and into your project.

Save families for components.
