I'm new to Revit and just starting to create familys. I have structural element that will drop from the exterior to the interior. This element will also twist in the fact that it will be level at the exterior but will slope at the interior end. The standard revit family functions for the most part as I can rotate the profile to match the slope. However the rotation causes the exterior end to rotate also. I was thinking that I could nest familys in order to add a rotation to the orginal profile to offset the rotaion from the profile. From what I have been reading it appears that this cannot be done. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Can you attach an image of what you are trying to accomplish?

"I have structural element that will drop from the exterior to the interior"

So your beam is sloping from the exterior to the interior

"This element will also twist in the fact that it will be level at the exterior but will slope at the interior end."

Not sure what you mean?

The exterior edge should align with the Level and the interior would remain at an angle.

I found a couple of posts elsewhere that talk about creating this warp by adjusting the supports.  Check this post on AUGI:

http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?52120-BEAM-SYSTEM-SUPPORTS-!!

I don't know if that works or not.
