Any way to insert a door with a frame? When inserting a door Revit shows a 3' door but no frame. The total opening in the wall is only 3' not 3'-4". It then becomes diffulct to dimension door frame openings when frame is in masonry wall. Thank you.

try this door frame its a HM frame with a wood door that I made that is intended for Masonry walls. if you are still working with doors that Autodesks provides with Revit, you will learn quickly those doors are pretty much useless. You really should make your own set of doors. Whoever made the door perhaps didn't know that doors have frames and are typically 1 3/4" thick, not 2".. I am in the process of reviewing the families that I have generated. The attached file may not be completely worked out.. The lever handle that i made for it might not behave. But its a start for you to see a door that cuts a masonry wall so you can dimension M.O. Lemmeno know.what you think. Jim

Is there a chance that you have an exterior Hollow metal door with variable width and height, and 4 inches top frame? (Maybe I am asking too much)

I will really appreciate your input
