hi all, and thank you in advance. i have received an architectural model from a client. when i opened it up in Revit 2013 i noticed that even though the settings for the view range are setup correctly. TOP: associated level Offest 7'6", CUT PLANE: associated level Offset 4'0" and the other 2 are set to associated level with 0 offset. the only level that looks right is the basement. the upper levels show the walls from the level below. they are halftone, but still show and are selectable. i can't figure out how to fix this.

Underlays are very useful. Surprised you haven't made use of them or come across it so far. The default REVIT project template file actually underlays Level 1 into Level 2 by default.

You can underlay any plan view into any other plan view. They don't have to be directly on top of each other. For example you can underlay the 'roof plan' into the '2nd floor' plan or visa versa. Great for lining things up vertically (ie: align and lock). And yes you can also edit the underlay'd view.
