Hello,

My boss gave me a file that I need to continue working on. The problem is that before the worksharing function was enabled.

Of course, I read some guides how to detach it and I went to File-Open-Deatch and I saved it with a separate name. Then I was able to use it.

I copied this file and today I wanted to work from another pc and it told me that the connection with the central file is missing. Actually, I thought that with detaching it from the central file, this rvt is a file like any other that has never been connected to a server.

It is only me who is going to work on this file. Can you give me a solution of the problem as i want to work in the office and at home without having to synchronize and to find a server?

Thanks in advance.

There is a topic in your HELP that discusses how to do this:  Working Offsite and Offline  I suggest you start by reading this.

We work offsite my connecting to our netwrork and logging into our work PC.  This is a better method than what is suggested in the HELP.
