Hello, Sorry if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find it by searching.

I am using Revit 2012. In a curtain wall, I have the horizontal grid pattern set to Fixed Number. I specify a number and adjust the spacing to suit, but every time I return to the model, it has reverted back to a default grid (with the custom grids also present, so double the number set in the properties). This is very annoying to have to keep adjusting, and I have almost issued elevations showing doors (curtain panel doors) at 1.6m high!

Is there a way to lock the revised grid pattern without having to pin the entire wall? Thanks

If you want to edit the spacings after placement, there are two metods.  I only do one of these.  After placement, I always change the CW definition to one that has no preset conditions.  You will see this message: "Type generated gridlines will become non-associated due to changes in the type.  Press delete if you wish to remove them instead."  This is OK because this is what you want.

That sounds like a simple enough workaround. That should save me many headaches (and a few ?!*@!'s)

Thanks!
