Hello,
i've got a lot of specialised 2D block files. For time reason, i don't have the time to draw them all in 3d.
If i import a Cad file is is transparent and i can see the floor and other objects. If I first place a region fill, the region fill hide my dwg file....
Is there a way i can use those 2D block files, so I can re-use this files and not see the floor, objects,...
PS its only for use in 2D at the moment.
thx

It's a bad idea using CAD files details in your project but... Import those "2D blocks" into a family and not directly into a project.
You can create a mask or a filled region around the perimeter of your detail and you can control the visibility, you have the foreground, backgroud options too...

hmmmm,
any reason why its a bad idea ?
i'm using it this way, because the drawing is in a conceptfase where they only wants 2D, the time limit is also very sharp...
If i'm getting it wright your drawings are full 3D (i know its a 3D program but timelimit does not allow me to make everything 3D, especially when it should be parametric, and i'm still must learn this program (unfortenaly i'm working alone and must learn everything the hard way :[ ))
thx for you help anyway
