I am creating a Material Finish Key using a Material Take Off Schedule.    I am having problems getting materials in Wall Sweeps and Materials in Various Families I have created to show up in the schedule.   The only way I can get a material to show in the schedule is when I "Paint" it on an object in the model.  Is there another way, or a better way to do this?  I have tried to filter the materials in various ways in the schedule but have been unsucsessful.  Is there a way to create a Yes/No Parameter to do this?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We need more information.

What are the families?  Are they nested families?

What version are you using?

Are the materials in the families the ones you are trying to schedule?  Please include property images.

I am using REVIT Architecture 2012.  I have Profile families, such as Baseboard and chair rail that I have applied a wood material to, and need to have it tagged in the schedule accordingly.  I have some Generic Model Families like "Exterior Bollards on a sidewalk that are painted, and need to have the paint specified in the schedule. I have material parameters inside of the families.   I thought I would create the materials that I need to appear in the schedule and then apply them to the families.  Attached are Property images.  None of my families are nested.

I just did a test family of a bollard with a finish and it scheduled just fine.

The two images you posted do not match as materials.

Did you schedule the correct category for your bollard?  What Category do you have the family in?
