Hi all,

Just wondering if at all it is possible to use voids to cut already created families?

Basically I'm using the standard cladding family (found in the the standard library), This works by arraying a number of similar pices to create the internal and external look. I'm using this cladding in a number of ways that require a given profile, rather than just being rectangular. The ideal for me to have done what I needed to do would be to just create voids in my main model and use them to cut the cladding as and where i need (As if i were using the cladding as a wall object). however because they are a family voids won't touch them, unless I create nested voids within the family. I could do this but it's very hard to guage where the voids should be when the family consists of only one small piece of the cladding.

Has anyone found a way of using voids to cut families, without creating a nested void in the family?
