Hello,

does anyone know a way that I can tag my subregions on my topographical plan? I have given them materials and I want to be able to tag them to show this. It would be useful if i could either tag the material type itself or even if i could tag the 'mark' so that i could give a reference number to that type of material

i have tried using the 'material tag' as well as the 'tag by category' but neither seem to allow me to select the subregions

i am using revit architecture 2011

thanks in advance,

kieran

It does not appear that you can tag topography at all for both material or element.  You could use keynote tags - user.  It will not automatically assign to the areas by type but your text would be consistant and controllable through your keynote file.

You will not be able to add the keynote parameter to the subregion.

Copy you default keynote file to your project dirctory and rename it accordingly.  These files are simple txt files - don't change that type!  Edit the file and add the notes you need.  Then in the file, open the keynote settings and browse for this file so it will be linked.

You will have to do this each time you change it while in session, otherwise it is reloaded each time automatically once linked.

Now load your keynote tag.  There are two types of tags, keynote number and keynote text.  You will want keynote text.  From the annotations, keynote pulldown, pick user.  Point to your subregion and pick your note from the pulldown when it pops up.
