Parametric geometry based on curves won't generate when the reference planes adjust such that the curve becomes handed (flips over) - quite frustrating. Curved solid sweep paths won't lock to intersections of curved reference lines and reference planes. Parametric constraints via dimensioning are not subtle enough in complicated forms. Need to be able to select geometry and edit all controlling links in database format, selecting objects to provide parametric constraints with link types (intersection, end poitn ets), and order of precedence. The dimensioning tool itself is too limited and fails to pick up requested snaps in non-orthogonal situations. It is very frustrating that reference planes won't project in non orthogonal work planes, in order to be able to locate non-orthogonal geometry accurately in 3 dimensions - this is a major modelling constaint. A "Project geometry" tool (to complement the cut and join tools) to project foorms onto the surface of other forms (or recessed into) would be great. C Post edited on 2005-12-28 22:27:56
