Hi Everyone,
I am new to Revit and have been struggling to edit the coiling doors family created by another firm. I basically wanted to add more manufacture details.
1. I am unable to edit any parameters in the family. It is asking me to seek permission. How do I go about it? Whom do I have to get permission from? I dont know anyone from the Architect's office.
2. Do I make a new family altogether or are any available online that i can refer to?
Would appreciate any help.
Thanks.

I have never run into needing to seek permission, can you open the family and save it as a new family to try and get rid of the permission needed? Upload the family on the site if you can. There are also some Rolling shutters and doors on this sites downloads that you could check out to see if they would work for your needs.
