Hi all.

I'm new to Revit - currently 2nd year of studying architecture and going over the basics via the 2012 version.

So far I've been taught general functions to generate a pretty standard home.

To try and help me understand revit my first assignment is to produce a 12m wall with various forms to cater for 100pairs of shoes and 10 seating positions. Ultimately the final product is to teach us how to correctly transfer and manipulate our creation in photoshop.

I would just like to ask for any suggestions on random form creation. So far I'm aware of 3 methods to do this via Edit Profile, Component Model In-Place and In-Place Massing. What would people suggest is the best way to learn tomaster these? Thanks!

I would create families for the different seating and "forms"  that carry your shoes and then insert the families into your project.

There are a lot of good tutorials out there, check out youtube.com, therevitkid.com, and cadclips.com to help you out also.  A good idea would be to go through the families guide also. Good Luck!
