I'm trying to create a ceiling height tag to match our standards for RCP drawings and to use the practice for family editing.  I want the tag to work like a spot elevation, which has a "height offset from level" parameter to show the change in ceiling height.  So far I've figured that out, but the tag always wants to use a leader, and I just want it to be leaderless.  I see the checkbox where you can "hide" the leader, but the leader is still there, just invisible.  Whenever I want to move the tag to another area of the ceiling, the tag still reads as the height of the previous area, and just stretches the leader out.  I have to click "pick new host" to attach it to the new ceiling.

Please see attached images of what I'm going for.  I'm also trying to get the arrow to rotate to whatever edge it's placed on, but right now it seems I have to create 4 different families for each side.

Thanks for any input

On your options bar - turn off the leader.  See attached.

You may be able to do your tag with 4 types - each with its own triangle.  But you can not just mirror a tag or rotate it.

You can add a new arrow type that will do what you want.

Thanks wwhub.  I'll look up how to do a custom leader.
