Hello,

 Im kinda new to Revit MEP & I need to move the "central" file to a flash drive & take home  & move to my CPU & edit

Then back to the flash drive & back to the office  . Do I have to rename & save each move ? or is there a better secenario ?

I would detach if from the central file, work on it at home, then when you get it back to your office remake the central file.
