We have recently upgraded from 2012 to 2013. The project I am working on had view templates associated with them during the 2012 session of work. I just noticed that none of the views retained the view templates that were associated with each view in 2012.
Has anyone else experienced this?

All right ....here is the low down that I have just found out.
Don't panic, you have not lost any of the visibilty that you associated with the views. Since 2013 view templates are different than how 2012 worked they needed to disassociate the view template from each view.
Just beware that 2013 view templates are different and if you associate 10 views with a view template and change that view template all 10 views will change.
